Plans for luxury hotel complex still on track

Plans to build a luxury hotel complex just outside Barnard Castle are still on track according to the company backing its development.

Directors of Primula Ltd have commissioned a series of environmental surveys to be carried out on Humbleton Farm with a view to building a 120-room hotel, 18-hole golf course and 150 chalet lodges.

Other amenities currently being touted by the developers include tennis courts, a swimming pool, spa and leisure centre.
